I'm Kelvin, a senior frontend engineer based in Lagos.
For 6+ years I've been building web products in fintech and edtech, where a broken flow or a slow screen has real consequences. That work taught me to treat performance, accessibility, and the small details as part of the product, not polish at the end.
I work across Vue, Nuxt, React, and Next.js, and I work closely with design and backend teams from early architecture through to release. I care deeply about component systems, design tokens, and making complex things feel simple for the people using them.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, exploring ideas in AI and distributed systems, and spending time with my wife Priscilla. I'm currently at Coronation Group and open to interesting things.
Experience
Coronation is Nigeria's most prominent diversified financial services firm, spanning merchant banking, asset management, insurance, securities, and registrars under one roof. I work closely with a team of engineers building products across the group's entities.
Houseriver is a fintech app that helps parents invest in their children's future: savings plans, dollar-denominated returns, and flexible and fixed investment options. I worked as a fullstack developer, handling the frontend in Nuxt/Vue and parts of the Node.js backend. I got to work on the core investment flows and the onboarding experience.
Sproutly is a financial platform for schools and families in Nigeria, covering tuition collection, e-invoicing, BNPL school fees, and credit tools for institutions. I was the lead frontend engineer for most of their product lifecycle, building the web platform from scratch in Vue and Nuxt. I shipped the billing dashboard, payment flows, the parent-facing app, and the collections module that's now used by over a thousand schools.
Glovaro was building a career intelligence platform for Africa, helping job seekers see real company culture before applying and helping companies build their employer brand. I did contract frontend work, building out parts of their web interface.
SoftNexus is a Lagos-based software agency building web, mobile, and AI-powered products for clients. This is where I started, building interfaces, learning the craft, and shipping real things for real businesses.
